Garden Care Advice
The two are often confused, and the difference matters — because they solve different problems.
A Garden Transformation restores
Over time, even a loved garden drifts: beds fill with weeds, mulch breaks down, shrubs lose their shape, edges blur and green waste accumulates in the corners you stopped looking at. A transformation is a concentrated, one-off project that brings the whole garden back to a healthy, beautiful baseline — a complete clean-up, weeding, detailed pruning and shaping, garden bed edging, soil conditioning, fertilising, fresh mulch and green waste removal, along with an honest assessment of plant health while we’re in amongst it all.
Garden maintenance keeps it there
Once the garden is back to its best, regular visits protect it: mowing and edging, hedge trimming little and often, weeding before weeds spread, seasonal pruning and feeding — the steady, unglamorous work that means the garden never drifts again.
The mistake to avoid
Homeowners most often try to use one to do the job of the other. Asking a regular maintenance visit to fix a year of overgrowth means every visit is spent catching up instead of caring. And doing a beautiful transformation with no maintenance behind it means watching the garden slowly slide back to where it started — usually within a season.
They work as a sequence. Restore first, then maintain. That’s why we recommend most new clients whose gardens have gotten away from them begin with a transformation, then move onto a maintenance programme matched to the garden and how they want to use it.
We don’t just maintain gardens. We restore them — then we keep them beautiful.
Not sure which your garden needs? We’ll tell you honestly — plenty of gardens don’t need a transformation at all, just a good, regular routine.
